Joao de Deus, or John of God, is without a doubt one of the most powerful and successful healers alive today. Through John of God, a full trance medium, more than 30 spirit guides minister to the hundreds of people who visit him daily from all over the world. They come to the Casa de Dom Inacio in Brazil for healing on spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical levels. The House, or the Casa, as it is simply called, is a sacred site named for the primary spiritual entity, St. Ignatius de Loyola, founder of the Jesuits.
John of God has been healing people for over 45 years for free; he has devoted his life to doing so. A room of discarded eyeglasses, crutches, wheelchairs and braces bears testimony to his success. He has helped the crippled to walk, reduced fears, strengthened faith, and, with a simple kitchen knife, has scraped away cataracts and removed tumors. All of his surgeries are done without physical anesthesia, but most of the work he does is invisible. However, John states, "I do not heal anyone; it is God who heals."
There have been at least four books written about this awesome healer and his miraculous results, and NBC devoted two hour-long specials on John of God on Prime Time in February and June 2005. In December 2005, the Discovery Channel also aired a one-hour special on this remarkable man and his wonderful healing work.
As a Casa-approved guide, Pat Baars takes groups to visit John of God three to four times a year. Among other things, she herself has been healed by John of God of a significant portion of fears and judgments, headaches, possible colon cancer, and a serious heart ailment.

Thank you for considering me as your Casa-approved Guide to John of God. I would be pleased to assist you during your visit to the Casa de Dom Inacio and John of God and the Spirit Entities who work with him. I feel very blessed to have been designated as an approved Casa guide by the Spirit Entity of Dom Inacio de Loyola himself, Patron Saint of the Casa.
Having had several incredible healing experiences myself with John of God during visits to Abadiania has also served to enrich and deepen my experience as a guide to the Casa. In addition to strictly adhering to the Casa's Code of Conduct for Guides, my personal goal as a guide is to make each trip as seamless and enjoyable as possible, and to help each person co-create with John of God and the Entities the most wonderful healing adventure of their lives.
Having an experienced, conscientious, Casa-approved guide to visit John of God is of vital importance. It appears to me that upon arrival in Abadiania, most people are administered a "spiritual anesthetic" by the Entities, which I believe is in preparation for their wonderful work and allows them to work on people more easily. However, that energy often makes people forgetful, more tired than usual, and often somewhat disoriented. As your guide, I will frequently remind you of things that you can do to do to maximize your healing process, as well as to remind you of the rules and procedures of the Casa. I will accompany you through all of your major procedures at the Casa whenever possible, and will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I will also conduct group meetings and meditations.
Among other restrictions, the Casa rules do not allow clairvoyant readings or energy healings by anyone while under the auspices of John of God. As a psychic, therefore, I cannot give you long communications of what I perceive occurring in your healing process. I will, however, give you "one-liners" from time to time so that you may rest assured that you are being cared for by the Entities and are continuously held in their love and light.
